Chung Hwa pencils, manufactured by the China Pencil Company, are similar in look to Europe's Staedtler Noris but have a writing action all their own with buttery, dark graphite that can take a lot of pressure as you write. Chung Hwa pencils are widely used throughout Asia but rarely seen in the U.S.
